Writing Conversational Essays About Animals in the Sociology Class Youre Taking
Writing Conversational Essays About Animals in the Sociology Class You're TakingI was a little surprised when I learned that I was accepted for a sociology class about animals. After all, I'd never really studied animals or even had much of an interest in them. But my teacher asked me to write an essay on animals and then let me choose what topic I wanted to write about. It was a lot of fun.One thing you should know about me is that I'm not very interested in most people -- no matter how attractive they are or how much money they make. I'll sit through a two-hour presentation on the economy all day and then go home and eat dinner with my family. I like other people, though. I've always loved animals. I even have a four-legged friend, a chinchilla, that I take out for walks together and play in the park. For someone who's a pet person, it's a great way to learn about people and their relationships. We can't understand them unless we're willing to look at them through someone else's eye s. In that respect, animal studies help us understand how we relate to them. Sociology professors aren't the only ones interested in these subjects either. Animals are growing in popularity in many areas of life. Some of the people who are buying pets now aren't very interested in knowing much about them or caring for them. Instead, they are just trying to provide their own happiness and security. There are now many different kinds of animals available that people can purchase for a wide variety of reasons. Some people like their pets because they're cute and cuddly. Other people like animals because they have personalities are hard to predict. The trick is learning to understand those things. A sociologist doesn't have to spend years studying animals; he or she can do some research on cats and dogs.Professors can also use animal studies as a springboard for essay topics on religion. When religion was banned from schools, children had very little contact with religion. Now that this b an has been lifted, though, religions are becoming more popular among children. Religion is about emotions and emotional feelings. If you have empathy for others, you can find religion interesting.Another way to use animals in essays is to explore the impacts that domestication has had on humans. Humans originally domesticated animals for food and clothing. By keeping us alive through food and clothing, we have had a big impact on our lives. Pets are the next step in human development. This means that our needs will continue to be met by animals.Humans, too, will eventually become domesticated animals, which may explain why so many people seem to be so emotional about them. We will never stop caring for animals. We'll just choose to do it in different ways.
